A Republic Democracy
Rhodesia's government had several factions. It consisted of a parliament, a PM office, a senate, a house of assembly, and a presidents office. To vote for one of these positions you were required to have a high school diploma or an equivalent education. Most white meet the requirements to vote but many black natives who went on with their tribal ways did not. This led many Westerners to believe that Rhodesia had apartheid when in reality it did not. Six seats in parliament were granted to black Africans, and another eight to tribal leaders.
